The Walla Walla County Traffic Safety Task Force works with local organizations, law enforcement and volunteers to help educate citizens on pedestrian and traffic safety issues.
Task Force Goals
- Reduce the number of impaired driver traffic deaths
- Increase community involvement in Task Force sponsored events
- Reduce underage alcohol possession, consumption and DUI arrests
- Maintain the high use of safety belts in the county
- Increase proper usage and installation of child passenger safety seats
- Increase awareness of bicycle and pedestrian safety
Every 15 Minutes Program

DUI Victim Memorial Park
Current or past citizens of Walla Walla County who died as a result of being a victim of a DUI collision are memorialized with a tree and plaque. DUI Memorial Walkway (pdf 1.2 MB).
Walla Walla Valley Child Passenger Safety Team
Presentations, classes and car seat check up events are offer through the Traffic Safety Task Force’s Child Passenger Safety Team.

Walla Walla Walks Against Drunk Driving
Walla Walla Walks Against Drunk Driving is an annual DUI awareness fun run and fundraiser held in Walla Walla on the second Saturday of September. The event is hosted by the Walla Walla County Traffic Safety Task Force.
