Jesamie Peters
Region 6 Target Zero Manager
Bio: Jesamie is the Target Zero Manager for Clark and Skamania Counties, she has led the Target Zero Taskforce since March of 2021. Prior to her work in Traffic Safety, the last 15 years were spent working in program management and building relationships within the local law enforcement community and citizenry of Clark County, as a Program Coordinator for Vancouver Police Department, with the City of Vancouver. Joining Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) has allowed for a focused, hands-on approach to improving community livability, as it relates to Traffic Safety. Jesamie is committed to instilling traffic safety values into our cultural norms, her hope is all individuals and families, through our combined actions, will experience zero fatal and serious injury crashes, within our lifetime.
The Clark and Skamania Target Zero Taskforce is comprised of 10 law enforcement and emergency communication, agencies: Vancouver Police Department, Camas Police Department, Battle Ground Police Department, Ridgefield Police Department, La Center Police Department, Washougal Police Department, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Skamania County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, and Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA). The Taskforce collaborates with community members, local businesses, coalitions, school districts, bus transportation services, and various city government departments to target and improve our traffic safety culture. The Taskforce uses proven and recommended data-driven strategies, to educate, enforce, and instill, sound traffic safety beliefs, to reduce serious and fatal injury traffic crashes within our region.
