American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people are overrepresented among traffic deaths compared to all other racial and ethnic groups in Washington. The Washington Traffic Safety Commission works with tribal members to provide a much-needed focus on traffic safety issues resulting in an opportunity to change driving behavior.
