Tribal Traffic Safety Coordinator
A Tribal Traffic Safety Coordinator provides a much-needed focus on traffic safety issues among AI/AN populations, creating opportunities to foster safer driving behavior and save lives. The coordinator leads efforts to implement high priority traffic safety strategies (that tribal leadership deems necessary) to meet Target Zero goals. These positions explore culture-appropriate countermeasures and strategies which may include developing tribal traffic safety committees, conducting pedestrian and traffic studies, improving data gathering and analysis, and public outreach and education.
