Bio: Jesamie Peters serves as the Target Zero Manager for Clark and Skamania Counties, where she brings together partners across engineering, enforcement, education, emergency response, public health, Tribal Nations, local government, and community organizations to advance Washington’s Target Zero vision of eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
She believes meaningful change happens when communities share responsibility for creating an environment where everyone can travel safely. Her work focuses on building partnerships, translating data into action, and inspiring communities to make safe travel a shared value.
Grounded in the Safe System Approach, Jesamie believes traffic deaths and serious injuries are preventable. She works to foster a positive traffic safety culture where the safe choice becomes the easy choice, human mistakes do not have to result in tragedy, and every person and organization plays a role in creating safer roads and a shared commitment to safe travel.
Jesamie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Strategic Communication from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University.
