Eveline Roy
Region 12 Target Zero Manager
Bio: I have been an active volunteer in the community for 19 years. I began my volunteer work by helping to establish the Chelan/Douglas County Child Passenger Safety team in 1999 when my granddaughter was born. I became a child passenger safety technician to assist families with the proper restraint of their children. I spearheaded efforts to find creative ways to fund the purchase of additional car seats, training materials and equipment necessary to put on car seat clinics through the state. For the last 14 years I have been involved with the local Volunteers in Police Service organization and have carried out the mission of building relationships in the community between citizens and law enforcement. I have been an American Red Cross Disaster Action Team Lead for the last 12 years supporting the Red Cross’s response to community emergencies, particularly wildfires and home fires. I was a member on the board of the Grief Place, an organization dedicated to helping individuals handle the loss of loved ones and was a Trauma Intervention Program specialist helping individuals deal with traumatic events. I have also supported the local Special Olympics organization for the last 11 years. I am proud to work for the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission as the Region 12 Target Zero Manager! I have been fortunate to turn my love for volunteer work into a career serving others. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, riding my bike, hiking and traveling.
